ONSHUT for sound and vibration proofing to X-ray and radioactive wave protection
ONSHUT is a wide and long pure lead sheet for highly general purpose use developed by utilizing the excellent attenuation of lead against sound and absorption of radioactive wave and it can cope with both sound/vibration proofing and for X-ray/radioactive wave protection.
Normally, we recommend 0.3mm or 0.5mm thick product for sound and vibration proofing and 1.0mm, 1.5mm or 2.0mm for X-ray and radioactive wave shielding. For PET inspection laboratory, 10 to 30mm thick lead panel is used.
PART-1 Sound and Vibration Proofing
In normal cases, we recommend 0.3 or 0.5mm thick product for sound and vibration proofing.
Aside from simple lead sheet and lead tape, there are complex boards combined with gypsum board or waterproof plywood that can be used in wide range of application, not only floors, walls or ceiling of buildings but also for sound and vibration proofing of pipe shaft, elevator shaft, ventilation duct or piping system.
SOUND AND VIBRATION PROOFING OF VENTILATION DUCT/PIPE/PIPE SHAFT
Reduction of noise from ventilation system and water supply/discharge system is strongly required
particularly in hospitals, hotels, public halls and apartment houses.
This objective can be effectively achieved by a direct installation of ONSHUT sheet or complex boards.
VENTILATION DUCT
A high sound and ventilation proofing effect can be achieved by covering the main body of ventilation dust with ONSHUT sheet of ONSHUT tape.
PIPING
ONSHUT sheet and ONSHUT tape are also effective for sound and vibration proofing of pipes. When the pipes are covered with glass wool or rock wool, the sheet can be applied over them.
PIPE SHAFT
How to reduce noise created at water supply/discharge is particularly important for a dry type pipe shaft. Effective sound proofing can be easily realized by ONSHUT complex board. A doubled effect can be achieved when used together with sound and vibration proofing of individual pipe.
PART-2 X-ray and Radiation Shielding
ONSHUT with high purity and accurate dimension is most suitable and reliable product for X-ray and radiation shielding for medical use.
Normally, we recommend 1.0mm, 1.5mm or 2.0mm thick product for X-ray inspection room.
Aside from simple lead sheet and lead tape, there are complex boards combined with gypsum board, waterproof plywood, steel sheet and they can be used not only for floors, walls and ceiling of protection facilities but also for fixtures (doors, windows), protection screen, X-ray film transporting box, ventilation gallery. For PET inspection laboratory, a lead panel type with 10 to 30mm thickness is also available.
